Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system (SCADA)
Under limited supervision, SCADA specialist provides technical support, design, configuration, and programming of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system(s), and performs related duties, as required by a contract. His/her essential duties and responsibilities may include to the following: installation, programming, configuration, and networking of instrumentation equipment at the client site.
Other qualifications
SCADA designer must demonstrate considerable experience in graphic design, WEB servers, OPC system design, WiFi communication, and security. In addition, he/she will be able to Install plant computers and servers, including the design and installation of operating systems and HMI software. He will also update control programming, displays and configure local area networks (LAN). Another things this programmer will do is design, install, and configure routers, bridges, and switches, install firewalls, VPN and internet access. Also, he/she will provide remote and local SCADA services. Above all, special duties includes testing PLC and radio equipment for reliability and functionality.
